Target Design Project: Children's wear

My Target white space was geared towards edgier and brighter clothes for young girls ages 4-8. I wanted to design a mini collection for the kids who want to look like rock-stars and are bold. For my concept, I decided to look at candy, especially unexpected and unusual candy and candy that has a geometric feeling to it. The pattern in the polka dots in the background is a print I developed for my collection. My muse on the board is a little girl who’s not afraid to be a little crazy and outgoing. I used my images of candy to influence not only my color palette, but also my surface designs:  skull graphic, print, and color blocking. This collection is geared towards a spring/summer 2015 collection.
